Ruins of the former mighty Dorus-Saodat complex are situated in the south-west of Shahrisabz. The name of construction is translated as “Place of Power”. Family tombs of the Timurides were placed here in XV century. The complex consists of mausoleum of Jahongir, elder son of Amir Timur, Omar’s toms Timur’s second son, Hazrat Imam Mosque and Timur’s vault.
«If you doubt about our power- look at our buildings! » - This sign decorates the portal of the Ark- Sarai built by Amir Timur in the end of XIV century. Unfortunately, only part of the entrance arch has survived till our time. But even these remains help to imagine an amazing beauty and majesty of this construction.
