There is a primitive rocky drawing- truly art of antique painting in 40 kilometers to the north from Karman city in gorge on the south flank of Karatau Mountains. So called art gallery of primitive people, more than 4000 images, is situated there. Images are carved along 2 kilometers of stream way. Scientists studied this place and petroglyphs many times. The detailed description of imaged animals, people and totemic symbols became a result of these researches. Scientists established that most part of petroglyphs belongs to the Bronze Age, but petroglyphs from Eneolithic and Neolithic ages were also found.

Rabat Malik caravan-serai located on the one of the Great Silk roads linking Samarkand and Bukhara cities. Built in XI century Rabat Malik has a high archeological and historical value.
It takes a significant place among outstanding cultural monuments of Uzbekistan.
The name of serai translated as «Malik’s Palace». Travelers could stay here for overnight, make provision for food and let their baggage animal to rest. |

Along with religious constructions there are ruins of Fortress built in order of Alexander the Great in IV century b.c. It is situated in southern part of Nurata, and it is one of the most antique and significant archeological monuments in Uzbekistan. |

There is one of the important religious centers in Nurata city of Navoi Region. This center called Chashma and combines a range of religious monuments: water spring, well, Juma Mosque and Nur-ota mazar (kubba).
Legend says the water spring was caused by impact of meteorite. Supposedly, a shining meteorite fell here 40 thousand years ago. And a health-giving water spring started gushing. Local people considered the impact of meteorite as a God’s grace. People exulted: “Allah granted us a Nur (translated as Ray)”. Thus the town’s name Nurata has appeared.
