The trip will start in 80km to the north-west of Tashkent, in Chimgan hole. You will meet Eastern Rock Nuthatch, Lesser grey Shrike, Golden oriole, Nightingale, Yellow-breasted Tits, Rufous- napped Tits, Hume’s Lesser Whitethroat, Rock and white-capped Buntings.
Area in the south of Samarkand is undoubtedly one of the most interesting places for bird watchers. By a lucky chance, you will see the Eurasian Griffon, flying in the sky and Black Vulture. These birds are nesting on snow mountain peaks. Lesser Grey and Isabelline Shrikes and White-throated Robins, Eastern Orphean Warbler and Upcher’s Warbler can be found in bushes. In the grass you will see Eastern Rock Nuthatch and Hume’s Short-toed Lark, which are looking for a food. Red-headed Bunting, Pied Wheatear and Asian Paradise Flycatcher are bustling in crowns of tall trees.
In Zarafshan reserve, among open ponds and riparian forest, you will find Night Herons, Shikra , White-winged Woodpecker, White-capped Penduline Tits, Turkestan Tits and Eastern Oilvacous Warbler.

There are Clamorous Reed Warblers, as well as Caspian race of Common Reed Warbler inhabiting waterlogged area with plentiful reed bed on the east of Bukhara. On close searching, you can meet rare resident of this area – a Marbled Teal, and Pygmy Cormorants. Most frequent guests are White-tailed Plovers, Caspian Gulls, Red-crested Pochard, Purple Herons, Black-bellied Sandgrouse and Rufous Bush Robins. Blue-cheeked Bee-eaters lives in the neighborhood of Long-tailed Shrikes and Pied Bushchats, Menetries Warbler is lodging in bushes.
Kyzyl Kum desert, spreading on the west, hosts the most infrequent bird of our region - Pander’s Ground Jay.
